Malion
A feminist retelling of the Pygmalion and Galatea myth. Malion, a sculptor, is presenting his work to his male friends, a statue of a woman. He rejoices in his achievement over drinks with some male friends. However, the conversation cannot move away from sexual fantasy and lust for the statue. Given life by Aphrodite, in a last attempt to save love in the land of Men, Galatea awakens. She is supposed to love this man who Aphrodite has favoured, but he is changing. Falling in line with his comrades and forgetting his pure vision of love. Will Malion see Galatea or fall into the ranks of masculine identity? Will Galatea survive the birth of a man?

under the moon
Under The Moon was an event uplifting rising artists and allowing them to present their new works in a theatrical space.
Tired Horses worked with each artists, offering theatrical advice, personal direction, and script development. Culminating in an evening that explored and experimented with themes of horror, self, and tension.
This event provided artists an opportunity to expand upon their craft and get feedback from a like minded community. We are pleased to add that, after receiving support and feedback from Under The Moon, several of our acts have gone onto develop their pieces into full length plays.
